THYRN
This is our world, welcome to it!
Greetings and welcome. I am Gary Cole, guide and co-creator in part of this homegrown AD&D world. I said partial co-creator as Thyrn was the brainchild of one Dennis Zacarias and he is to be credited with the actual creation of this world.
Thyrn is a collage of at least 50 different fantasy worlds created suddenly and on the fly when Lloyd was forced into the Dungeon Master's chair by me. Dennis has incorporated everything from Tolkein's Middle-Earth to Dragonlance's Krynn,. From Robert E Howard's Hyboria to Jim Hensen's The Dark Crystal World throughout the years ofits evolution. Dennis has DMed many campaigns in Thyrn and the characters and those playing them were always different, and for each campaign that ended the next one would carry on the torch and build on the legacy of the last one tus was developed the history of Thyrn that has made it the world it is today.
Thyrn was created for, and by, all of Dennis' players who had spent countless endless hours and sometimes days playing as their characters lived, laughed, adventured, fought and died. It took him and them into a magical world where anything could happen and usualy did, where kingdoms of light and realms of darkness fought to the bitter end. Now thanks to the internet (back when dinosaurs ruled the earth there was no internet) I can display this world for all to see. Either you'll love it or you'll hate it that will be for you to decide. I'm hoping you'll loveThyrn as much as I do, and if your a fantasy Roleplayer/Dungeon Master, you might even try setting a few adventures in it. Who knows, you may like it here.

Current Status of Live Thyrn
The Dwimmur of Gozlothel has been halted but not stopped. It is only a matter of time before it once again begins spreading its darknes. But it is not the only evil in the distant horizon.
In the East there have been reports of giant golden warships with muted colored sails. The Kirians have risen again and have landed on Ranorak's shores whether for trade or for conquest only time will tell.
To the West there have been rumors of the followers of the Cambion Lord Akrazel spreading throughout the realms preaching of their demonic lord's coming.
The dwarves of the Shadolok have noticed an increase in the number of Black Dragons in their mountain realm.
Cavelera is on the verge of civil war as rumors of King Anarion's death have reached the capital and the two prince's both prepare to make their bid for the throne. If the brothers go to war against each other the lands of Avinorne and Baragon will also be drawn into this war.
The priests of Arkonia are mysteriously disappearing as more and more of their number go missing with every passing week.
Trouble is brewing all the prophets and seers say. Trouble that may spark the fires of War!
Top Ten Thyrn Roleplayers
This feature is the DM's way of showing their appreciation to all the players for the exceptional roleplaying you have done at the gaming table. It is a skill that is we DMs look for in our players and greatly admire.
How it works is simple. All of the DMs who participate in live Thyrn regularly talk to each other about their individual campaigns. We discuss and often argue about game mechanics, challenging storylines, ideas that have to do with adventures and of course our different groups, and our individual players.
It is because of this communication that the top 10 list is possible. When one of the players in Living Thyrn roleplays their character so well that it stands out we DMs think that not only should the player's character be rewarded in game but the player themselves should also recieve praise outside of the game.
When any player or DM from any of the various campaigns feels that one of their players or fellow player has performed exceptionally well they will bring it to their DM's attention. The DM will in turn bring it to the collective DMs attention where we will hear of what the player did in game that merits a position on the Top Ten List.We also think that this will encourage a healthy competitive attitude amongst all of the individual campaigns and players.
